service for its GSM Mobile Customers in Prepaid and Postpaid
categories. To send voice SMS to our near and dear, just Dial * followed
by the mobile number of the person to whom we want to send our voice
SMS.

the introduction of Voice SMS service, BSNL plans to get more customers
from the youth category who prefers messaging services than voice
calls.
Voice SMS service eliminates the problem of typing the messages.
This service can be effectively used to directly communicate our
feelings to our near and dear.
In
Voice SMS, we can capture / record our voice as a message and send the
same as a Voice SMS and this gives a better approach like expressing
your feelings in our own language and in our own style. The receiving
party can listen to our voice in his/her convenience. BSNL offers this
service at the lowest rate of just 75 paise/minute to its customers.
Customers can schedule their Voice SMS also using the IVR menu option.

Procedure for sending / retrieving BSNL Voice SMS
Voice SMS is used to send recorded voice message from one subscriber to another subscriber.
How to Send a Voice Message:
1. A-Party dials * followed by B-Party number.( including STD and other operator’s numbers)
2. Welcome message through IVR and voice prompt for Language Selection.
3. System prompts for Voice recording after the peep and ends recording by pressing “#” key.
4. System prompts for
- Press “1” to Send the Voice SMS now.
- Press “2” toListen the message.
- Press “3” to Record again.
- Press “4” to send a Voice SMS in a scheduled time.
- Press “*” to cancel the message.
5. System prompts for “Your message has been sent, Thank you for using BSNLVoice SMS service”.
6. Voice SMS System initiates Outbound call to B-Party.
- System prompts for number of new messages and the number from which the message
- System plays the new voice message.
- Press “1” toPlay again.
- Press “2” for next message.
- Press “3” to play the message Header again.
7. Listened notification is sent to ‘A’ party when ‘B’ party listened the Voice message.
How to Retrieve the Voice SMS:
1. B- Party dials “17070” for retrieve the Voice message.( For BSNL numbers of South Zone)
2. B-party numbers of other operators in Kerala Circle can retrieve the VSMS by dialing 9442717070.

4. System prompts for number of new/old messages and the number from which the message has been received with date and time.
5. Plays the new /old voice message received lastly.

- Press “2” for next message.

- Press “4” to delete the voice message.
- Press “5” to save a voice message.
- Press “6” to reply a voice message.
- Press “7” to forward a voice message.
