BSNL Kerala Circle is all set to commission it’s new IN (Intelligent Network) for prepaid mobile customers. BSNL is already in the process of upgrading their network elements to the latest version through the GSM Phase VII expansion project.
The major changes are in the prepaid stv balance enquiry short code, SMS Key words (SMS short codes) and the SMS number for the activation of STVs through SMS. The current number 53733 will be changed to 123. Prepaid STV balance enquiry short code will be *124*2# ( or send sms STVENQ to 123).

The migration of prepaid numbers to this new IN (Phase VII – Alcatel IN) will be done in phased manner during this month of December. During the first phase of migration on 16-12-2014, it is proposed to migrate all prepaid customers whose numbers starting from 82812, 82816,83010, 94003 & 94956 to Phase VII Alcatel IN. Entire Prepaid Mobile Numbers will be migrated within one week.
The new IN offers USSD selfcare service (through *124#) which enables a prepaid customers to check their balance, activate STVs, change the current prepaid mobile plan, Friends & Family number change etc. USSD selfcare service can be accessed by dialling *124#.
Changes in the current procedures are:
- Cumulative topup facility for validity extension is not available for New Mithram Plan.
- Accumulation of Data STVs of different denominations is not possible. Only STVs of same MRP will be accumulated. However on migration to ALU, the data validity will be extended for 30 days with available data volume on date. The customer has to consume the available volume within this period.

If we have 500 MB left in our data STV 155, it will be carried forward only with recharge 155 (stv155).
Please correct me if there is any correct in the following. If we have 500 MB left in our data STV 155, it will be carried forward with recharge 155 (stv155) which has a validity of 28 Days. So after 28 days I have 200 MB data balance. So on next STV155 top up, this 200 MB will be again accumulated. This accumulation will be continued until and unless we use the same STV plan.

Actually you must recharge on or before the expiry of that plan, that means on day 28 for accumulating the balance.

By "Data2G" or "Data3G" followed my mobile number we were able to know the data balance SIM in Data Card owned by us . This was useful for to know data balance of Data card with out computer/laptop was out of our reach then .

Will Mithram plan auto renewal work now? all FNF numbers need to be added for each renewal? How to add FNF now? Using *124# doesnt work. Adding 91 before the number says incorrect number., adding 0 to the number says Thank You. But no FNF numbers gets added.

I have two stv's of 3G data. Validity of 1st one DATA139 expires on 31-1-2015 and the other STV data78 expires on 16-1-2015. Please confirm the STV data voucher from which priority of 3G data consumption is determined when data balance is available in both the STVs during the period from 1-1-2015 to 15-1-2015
