BSNL the most trusted telecom service provider in India has announced the details of Blackout days for the year 2014 and 2015. As per the guidelines issued by TRAI, Freebies offered with Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) / Concessional / Discounted Voice Calls / SMS will not be available to customers in these days.
BSNL has declared the following Five Days as ‘Blackout days’ for the year 2014 & 2015. These 5 days are common to all BSNL Mobile customers in India. These days includes: New Year Day, Holi, Pre Diwali, Diwali and New Year Eve.

For all 2G/3G mobile plans which are offered with initial freebies and monthly freebies on Voice and SMS, the concession on Voice Calls/SMS will be not be applicable on these Black out days and they will be charged as per their Parent Mobile Plan on these days.
The reduced tariff on Voice / SMS made available with STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers),
Discounted call facility of “Friend & Family” also will be withdrawn, during these days and all the calls will be charged according with the parent plan.Dear readers, please share your views on Blackout Days.
