Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has restricted the international calling facility (ISD) for its Prepaid Mobile connections. Earlier, the facility of making ISD calls was activated for all prepaid mobile users of BSNL.

BSNL has barred the ISD outgoing facility as per the directives from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). BSNL Prepaid Mobile Customers who require ISD facility can activate the same by sending a simple SMS to 53733.
ISD Activation / Deactivation SMS Format for BSNL Prepaid Mobile Customers
- To Activate ISD Facility in your BSNL Prepaid Mobile, just type ACT space ISD and send it to 53733.
- To Deactivate ISD Facility in your BSNL Prepaid, just type DEACT space ISD and send it to 53733.
BSNL Prepaid Mobile Customers can also activate ISD facility by calling BSNL Customer Care : 1503
ISD Activation / Deactivation Procedure for BSNL Postpaid Mobile Customers
ISD facility can be activated for BSNL Postpaid Mobile Customers by submitting application for ISD facility along with Rs 2000 as security deposit in the local BSNL Customer Service Centre (CSC).

Showing me error code 28. Couldn't send message.
SMS "ISD Y" to 52271 works in BSNL-Karnataka Circle, received acknowledgement from them for processing.
