After the migration of Prepaid Mobile Numbers to the New Intelligent Network (IN), many BSNL prepaid customers of Kerala Telecom Circle complained that their calls to Friends and Family Numbers were charged at normal call rate. Customers also complained that they are not able Add / Modify Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) numbers.
As per the information from BSNL sources, the FFE/FNF numbers already registered by customers were lost during the migration process. Customers may register Friends & Family numbers again without any cost. The FFE/FNF registration /modification format through SMS also has changed.
Now, BSNL Prepaid Mobile Customers can register their FFE/FNF numbers through SMS or through USSD Selfcare. The detailed procedure of registration is given below:
1. Register Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) Numbers through SMS
To register FFE numbers, customers may send sms in the format
FFE space Mobile/Landline Number to 123
Eg: Send sms FFE 9447xxxxxx to 123 (To register Mobile Number)
Send sms FFE 04842xxxxxx to 123 (To register Landline Number)
Now, customers may register only one number at a time. In order to register the second number, send the second number in the same format to 123. To register 5 numbers, customers may send the registration sms 5 times to 123.
2. Modify Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) Numbers through SMS
To modify / replace FFE numbers, customers may send sms in the format
FFM space Old Mobile/Landline Number space New Mobile/Landline Number to 123
Eg: Send sms FFM 9447xxxxxx 9446xxxxxx to 123 (To Modify / Replace Mobile Number)
Send sms FFM 04842xxxxxx 04712xxxxxxto 123 (To Modify / Replace Landline Number)
Note: Each change in number will be charged @ Rs.5/-
3. Register Payri Jodi Landline (FFL) Number through SMS
To register Pyari Jodi Landline (FFL) number, customers send sms in the format
FFL space Landline Number to 123
Eg: Send sms FFL 04842xxxxxx to 123 (To register Payri Jodi Landline Number)
4. Register Jai Jawan Number (PMF) Number through SMS
To register Para Military Number PMF number, customers send sms in the format
PMF space Landline Number to 123
5. To View Registered Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) Numbers through SMS
To view registered FFE numbers, customers may send sms in the format
FNFLIST to 123
6. Register Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) Numbers through USSD Selfcare
Step 1: Dial *124#
Step 2: Press 4 for FNF
Step 3: Press 2 for FNF Add
Step 4: Enter the Numbers in the national format followed by #
(Eg: Type 9447024365# or Type 04712000000#)
Step 5: Press Enter
7. Modify Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) Numbers through USSD Selfcare
Step 1: Dial *124#
Step 2: Press 4 for FNF
Step 3: Press 3 for FNF Modify
Step 4: Enter the numbers in the format Old Number*New Number followed by #
(Eg: Type 9447024365*04712000000#)
Step 5 : Press Enter
Note: Each change in number will be charged @ Rs.5/-
8. To View Registered Friends & Family (FFE/FNF) Numbers through USSD
Step 1: Dial *124#
Step 2: Press 4 for FNF
Step 3: Press 1 for FNF View

I have a doubt regarding FFE. Will FFE work when my phone is roaming and my FFE registered number is also in roaming. Is FFE reduced call rates will be applicable while my number and FFE registered numbers are in roaming.

When you activate an STV, for eg:- for rs 135 (300 mins of onnet/offnet talk time), the calls to the FFE number will be deducted from the STV. Its not good for customers.
