State run PSU, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has announced the revision of its roaming charges as per the recent tariff amendment from TRAI to make roaming more affordable. TRAI has proposed new reduced ceiling charges and this move from BSNL has come after it.
BSNL slashed roaming call charges for Prepaid Mobile Plans, Postpaid Mobile Plans and Roam Free STVs. The current roaming call charges of 1.5ps/sec has been slashed to 1.3ps/sec for it’s Most Popular Free roaming STVs. BSNL also slashed Roaming SMS rate from the existing rate of Rs 1/SMS to 25 ps/SMS.
