By this extra ordinary performance, BSNL positioned itself within the top five operators gained the maximum number of wireless subscribers in the month of July 2015. In the previous month i.e., in June 2015, BSNL lost around 2.7 lakhs of subscribers in the wireless segment.
This latest TRAI report clearly indicates that, the newly launched Free All India Roaming Scheme is getting the desired result. The mobile internet offers (3G/2G data offers) provided by BSNL is also the most economical and attractive in the current telecom market. Moreover, BSNL offers PAN India 3G service with Free Data Roaming including Delhi & Mumbai.
BSNL landline customers are offered with an additional benefit of Unlimited Free Night Calls to Any Network without any additional charges. It includes local as well as STD calls to numbers of any service provider in India.
As per this report, the number of broadband subscribers increased from 108.85 Million at the end of June 2015 to 111.325 million at the end of July 2015 with monthly growth rate of 4.10%.

service providers were Bharti Airtel (26.51 million), Vodafone (22.71 million), BSNL (18.43 million), Idea Cellular Ltd (17.43 million) and
Reliance Communications Group (9.93 million).
The total number of telephone subscribers in India
increased from 1006.96 million at the end of June 2015 to 1009.31 million at the end of July 2015, thereby showing a monthly growth
rate of 0.23%.
Total wireless subscriber base increased from 980.81 million at the end of June 2015 to 983.21 million at the end of July 2015, thereby registering a monthly growth rate of 0.25%.
As on 31st July, 2015, the private access service providers held 91.72% market share of the wireless subscribers whereas BSNL and MTNL, the two PSUs access service providers, held only 8.28% market share.
In Wired Broadband segment, BSNL holds the No.1 position with 9.92 million customers, followed by Bharati Airtel with 1.50 million customers.
