To compensate for the hike in service tax, due to the introduction of Swachh Bharat Cess, BSNL has decided to revise the MRP of EVDO and CDMA Prepaid STVs with immediate effect across all telecom circles. As per the latest information, BSNL will be increasing the MRP of EVDO and CDMA prepaid STVs on PAN India basis.
As we reported earlier, Government introduced Swachh Bharat Cess
at the rate of 0.5 per cent on all services with effect from 15th
November 2015. As a result, the service tax rate has gone up to 14.5
percent from 14 percent. Talk value offered with Top Up / C-Top Up / Flexi Top Up transactions are also reduced accordingly.

Revised EVDO and CDMA Prepaid STVs due to Increase in Service tax ( due to Swachh Bharat Cess )
- Top Up / C-Top Up / Flexi Top Up: Service tax @ 14.50 % will be deducted on Top Up / C-Top Up / Flexi Top Up instead of 14.00%.

The existing validity of EVDO and CDMA prepaid STVs remain the same. These latest revision in MRP of EVDO and CDMA Prepaid STVs shall be applicable with immediate effect across all telecom circles.
