As per the latest TRAI report, BSNL added more than 9.3 lakhs of new mobile customers in the month of November 2015 with monthly growth of 1.16%. The performance of BSNL in wireless subscriber addition and monthly growth rate is really encouraging and the PSU managed to maintain its position in the Top Five during November 2015.

Among BSNL units, all telecom circles achieved positive growth in wireless subscriber addition except Jammu & Kashmir (-2623) during the month of November 2015. The best performers are Maharashtra (+1,66,817), UP East (+1,27,269), Karnataka (+83,467), UP West (+75,213) and Orissa (+69,285).
As on 30th November 2015, the private access service providers held 91.58% market share of the wireless subscribers whereas BSNL and MTNL, the two PSUs access service providers, held only 8.42% market share.
Five service providers constituted 83.59% market share of total
broadband subscribers at the end of November 2015. These service
providers were Bharti Airtel (30.68 million), Vodafone (25.53 million),
Idea Cellular Ltd (21.25 million), BSNL (19.87 million) and Reliance
Communications Group (12.59 million).

In the month of November 2015, a total of 5.19 million subscribers submitted their requests for MNP. With this, the cumulative MNP requests increased from 181.50 million at the end of October 2015 to 186.69 million at the end of November 2015.

BSNL is still leading due to its availability in many area. If only other service provider expands they will surely fall.
