National telecom backbone and India’s largest fixed line broadband service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced an exciting promotional offer of Rent Free Broadband connection to attract Broadband customers of private Broadband operators to BSNL.
As per the latest information, BSNL will be offering Free Broadband installation charges, Free Broadband connection for one month with 500 extra Free local and STD calls to any network in India to those customers who are migrating from any
private Broadband operator to BSNL. The offer will be available for a period of 90 days from 17th March 2016.

In order to attract Broadband customers of private Broadband operators to avail BSNL Broadband service, it has been
decided by the BSNL authorities to launch the following promotional scheme for a period of 90 days in all the
circles for those Broadband customers who are migrating from any private Broadband operator to BSNL:-

- To waive off Broadband installation charges for the standalone / Combo Broadband plans.
- To waive off one month FMC (Fixed Monthly Charges) of the Broadband plan.
- To offer 500 free calls to all network (ON-NET/OFF-NET) for one month (in addition to already available
free calls) under Broadband combo plans.
To avail the above scheme, the customer has to submit the copy of private broadband operator’s latest bill,
issued within two month prior to the month of providing BSNL Broadband connection.

The above instructions are effective with effect from 17-03-2016 to 14-06-2016 on promotional basis for a period of 90 days in all

BSNL at Calicut is providing the worst Broadband service. I'm a BSNL subscriber with ULD 945 Plan, which offers 2 Mbps till 8 GB usage and after that 512 Kbps. But in reality, I'm not even getting a speed of 32Kbps after the usage limit of 8Gb. This is contrast to the fact that BSNL had announced that it will provide a minimum speed of 2Mbps to all BSNL Broadband customers. This can be only termed as daylight robbery.
Ha ha. You got the connection at least. I applied for a connection 6 months ago and till now I haven't got a connection yet. Funny thing is that they never said a No to me yet. I haven't come across such lazy people anywhere else other than at BSNL Calicut.
I waited for 2 months and purchased a connection from private operator. They installed it in a day.
No wonder BSNL is in to loss. They don't need business. I believe it is a pre planned agenda to kill an organisation.
