Speaking about this strategic partnering, Mr. Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman & Managing Director, BSNL said, “We continue to expand our network across the country with more sites and sharing infrastructure with other telecom service providers. This partnering with Vodafone will help us make our network coverage better, especially in urban areas, enabling our customers to have a better experience of our services.”
The two companies together operate over 2,50,000 towers around the country. The availability of additional towers is expected to help both the companies address the coverage gap, thereby minimise chances of call drops and thereby to increase customer satisfaction.
Mr. Sunil Sood, MD & CEO, Vodafone India, said, “We want our hundreds of million customers to consistently enjoy a superior network experience and remain confidently connected, at all times, for all their voice and data needs. We made significant investments to expand, enhance and upgrade our network, making Vodafone SuperNet™ our best network ever, world-class and future-fit. This partnering with BSNL will further strengthen the reach of our network especially in the hinterland of the country and surrounding rural areas.”

Only bsnl customers gets benefited since pvt operators cover most of the rural and urban areas than bsnl. Five years back bsnl was covering only rural areas but the situation has changed. Now pvt operators have better coverage everywhere except in very rare locations. So keep telling the old glory like my grandfather had an elephant.
it will help bsnl than vodafone.we have good vodafone signal inside our home but no bsnl signal.i hope we would use bsnl inside our home after intracircle romong takesplace.
