India’s largest landline service provider BSNL has announced the withdrawal of its existing landline plans – ‘Special (old) with monthly rental of Rs 695/-‘ & ‘Talk Value plan TV 250’ with immediate effect on PAN India basis.
As per the latest information, both the above plans will not be available for new customers for subscription. However, existing customers in these plans may continue till further directions from BSNL authorities.
An official statement regarding the withdrawal of landline plans read as follows – The competent authority has decided to withdraw landline tariff plan Special (old) with FMC 695 & TV 250 for the prospective customers with immediate effect.
This tariff order will be applicable with immediate effect on PAN India basis. It means, both these plans will be withdrawn in all BSNL telecom circles. As we reported earlier, BSNL already launched a new landline plan LL 299 with 250 free calls to any network in all the circles from 1st August 2017. To increase its landline & broadband customer base, the PSU has completely waived off installation charges for new landline and broadband customers for a period of One Year in all the circles.
