State run telecom major – BSNL – India’s best mobile network in Voice Quality, as per latest TRAI report – has activated more than 1.47 million new mobile connections in September 2020. This figure includes both prepaid and postpaid mobile connections newly activated in last month.
Among BSNL units, maximum mobile connections were activated by UP (West), Rajasthan & UP (East) telecom circles. All these 3 top performing telecom circles activated more than 1 lakh mobile connections each in last month (in September 2020). Bihar and Maharashtra telecom circles also activated above 1 lakh new mobile connections each in September 2020. The PSU targets 2.34 million activations in October 2020.

Among 27 telecom circles, 6 of them crossed their assigned target which include – UP (West), Haryana, Andaman & Nicobar, Bihar, Kolkata & Rajasthan which shows the inherent potential BSNL has in all these circles. 12 telecom circles performed moderately well with more than 50% of new SIM activations of the assigned target. Whereas SIM sales performance by 9 telecom circles were not up to the mark with less than 50% of assigned target. These poor performing telecom circles are – Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, North East I & North East II.
Recently, BSNL has announced 25% extra data offer for all data recharge offers as part of BSNL Foundation Day Celebrations 2020. BSNL has also decided to celebrate October 2020 as Customer Delight Month.
