BSNL has decided to allow the voice freebies as well as SMS freebies with Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) / Plan Vouchers (PVs) in National roaming including MTNL network in Delhi /
Mumbai under GSM prepaid mobile services.
At present, BSNL customers roaming in MTNL network in Delhi/Mumbai can aces freebies of Data STVs and freebies of selected Voice / SMS STVs. As per the latest information, BSNL customers are allowed to use freebies of all prepaid recharge offers – Voice / SMS / Data – in MTNL areas with effect from 1st December 2020 onwards.
An Official statement about this latest scheme read as follows:- “The competent authority has decided to offer voice freebies and SMS freebies in all prepaid STVs/PVs to be available in national roaming including MTNL network in Delhi/Mumbai under the GSM Prepaid Mobile Services”.
BSNL to start operation in Delhi & Mumbai from 1st January 2020
BSNL has already decided to manage and operate MTNL mobile network from 1st January 2021. It means, Customers in Delhi and Mumbai can enjoy mobile services managed by BSNL officials from 1st January 2021. BSNL has also made roaming agreement with Vi (formerly Vodafone) in Delhi and NCR area whereby a customer can enjoy seamless connectivity while travelling to Delhi / NCR region. However, freebies associated with any Plan / STV (Voice / Data / SMS)will not work while roaming in Vi network in Delhi.
Whether freebies of STVs/PVs will work while roaming in Vi network in Delhi & NCR area?
No. Freebies associated with any STV/PV will not work while roaming in Vi network (formerly Vodafone). Customer need to pay nominal charges for roaming in Vi network in Delhi / NCR area.
