Is this a confirmed article?
Or is it another item which will be only available in certain business areas?
Seems like it would be applicable for all the circles except A&N.
449 & 599 Plans are available from 14-11-2020 onwards in all places.
Can anyone tell me when will I get the unlimited 3.3TB plan in calicut ?
From 14th November 2020
Can anyone tell me when will I get the unlimited 3.3TB plan in calicut?
Both plans are available. But 449 is only for new customers and 599 is open to new as well as existing customers.
And now could someone from KeralaTelecom tell me how can I update my plan to 599?
I'm an existing BSNL FTTH user
Just submit plan change request online or through BSNL customer service center after 14-11-2020.
Hi, KeralaTelecom.info,
I can't see this 599 plan in selfcare portal. So what should I do?
Dear Bro, just wait. BSNL is updating their portal. Most probably the new plans will get updated in their portal by Monday.
Dear Bro,
I have requested for a plan change yesterday night. Will let you all know when it get approved. Looks like for my area, plan change is not automatic
Just contact your local exchange in-charge if your plan change request is not yet completed in Selfcare Portal.
Currently my plan is 777,will I be able to change my plan to 599 plan ?
Yes, but your speed will be reduced to 60 Mbps from 100 Mbps !
but currently I am getting 50Mbps only in 777 plan
Just check with BSNL FTTH Helpdesk.
We this plan is available to user in erode. Still no update in portal
Still 449 plan is restricted to selected cities in Andhra Pradesh and 599 plan is not available in official website.
BSNL 599 plan got activated in only some states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand.
I think 599 plan is only for selected states.
Restrictions on 449 plan are removed in most of North Indian States and In South Indian States restrictions are still there.
BSNL is showing partiality.
599 is for everyone… Just wait bro, BSNL will activate the same plan all over India.
Thanks for info.
Is this news correct?
Because 599 plan got activated in only some states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. I think it is for selected states.
Dear Bro, 599 plan is available to all new as well as existing customers in all telecom circles. It means – this plan is for everyone.
I am not able to see the 599 plan in BSNL website Kerala Circle or in selfcare portal.
Dear Bro, just wait. BSNL is updating their portal. Most probably the new plans will get updated in their portal by Monday.
Can we change existing fiber plan into Basic fiber plus plan.?
Looks like This plan is not for south india. This plan has been actived in most of the other states, please verify it and notify us @keralaTelecom.info
Dear Bro, 449 (Promo plan for new customers for first 6 months) plan and 599 plan are available all over India.
I asked a nearby bsnl exchange. They are not aware and They said didn't get any update regarding this 449 and 599 packes.I am eagerly waiting because Now I need a fiber connection desperately. If 599 plan is available in my area only I can buy a new connection because I can't afford more than 700rs a month and it is unlimited. If i choose any other pack there must be an fup limit but that is not enough for us.Now my expectations are getting faded away because This plan is not shown in the south india states websites and The bsnl also didn't give their employees any update regarding this.
How to report FTTH issues related to connectivity, speed, etc. in Ernakulam district of Kerala? Is there any dedicated customer service center/team/phone number?
What is the average turnaround time to get the issue resolved?
register complain using bsnl selfcare portal or call on
BSNL Broadband Helpline
Number '1504' (using telephone)
Number '1800-345-1504'(using mobile)
This plan available in malappuram district tirurangadi telephone exchange
Yes. These plans are available all over India. 449 is only for new customers whereas 599 is for both new and existing customers.
What is the initial payment required to get the connection
Plz update about the availability of 599 plan .It's not in self-care portal
yes its available and it is quoted as fiber basic plus in 16th page or last page of bsnl plan list.
It shows only 14 pages for me selfcare portal.i am from tn
I think tamil nadu circle has not updated the plan list. Wait for some more days and check again if not then contact the nearby bsnl office. Iam from kerala circle and i have subscribed to the new plan using self care portal and it took only 2 days for the migration process.
Does it updated for whole kerala
Does it updated for whole kerala
I don't know if it is updated for whole kerala or not. But it is available in my district kollam and i also reside in a semi rural area. So gradually it should be available in whole kerala irrespective of rural or urban area. I will advise you to wait for few more days because i think the updation will be in a phased manner.

I am from TN. I am using the 599 plan )
how is the speed and customer service of this FTTH connection. is it uninterrupted during rains etc..does the internet go down at any time .please confirm
Hello Jose I am using bsnl ftth (directly from bsnl) from April 2019 and have faced 2 disconnections till now and both the the problem was solved within 24 hrs. MY initial plan was 600 gb CUL(50 mbps upto 600gb-rs 849)and my current plan is 500gb CUL(100mbps upto 500gb-rs 777).The speed is good and it is usually between 80-100 mbps for download and 45-50 mbps for upload and the ping is also between 20-40 ms.
I have never faced disconnection due to heavy rains or strong winds.
BSNL provides ftth connection directly(nowadays very rare) or through local vendor(contractor).
If you want connection directly from bsnl then make sure the modem/ont provided has Ge lan port(supports speed up to 1000mbps or 1gb) and not Fe lan port( supports speed upto 100mbps only). IF you want connection through local vendor then they will provide you with a Ge port ont and also any disconnection or cable maintenance will be done by the local vendor and not by bsnl employees. Since my connection is directly from bsnl and also the ont provided has fe ports, so i cannot choose any plan above 100mbps speed.
why my data package is showing 3.3tb
You can use high speed data upto 3300GB. After 3.3TB, speed will be reduced as per Fair Usage Policy applicable to your plan.
3.3 TB is misleading. in plan 449 I am getting 200GB and beyond that speed is minimal.
You might have opted 200GB CUL plan with fixed monthly charge of Rs 499/- which offer 50Mbps speed till 200GB. Whereas 449 plan offers 30Mbps speed 3.3TB.
Can some1 share Plan Id for 449 plan in SDC portal.
I can see only the 599 plan (plan id : 704650) in my portal.
(I took the connection in mid Oct, am i eligible for 449 plan)
Any thoughts???
TIA
Dear jaC, BSNL Fibre Basic 449 plan is not available in Selfcare Portal. This plan is exclusively available for new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers all over India. Hence option to change existing FTTH plan to 449 plan via selfcare portal is not available.
Means, only those customers who took the connection after Nov 14 will get this new offer ryt??
Or will they be giving this offer to some1 who took just 1 month before this new offer came into effect??
Yes.This plan is available only to new customers who took their BSNL FTTH connection after the commercial launch of plan.
