One of the most popular value added services in mobile segment is Caller Tune / Hello Tune service. A major chunk of VAS revenue is coming from PRBT (Personalized Ring Back Tone) or Caller Tune services.
BSNL branded their PRBT services as BSNL Tunes which customers can get absolutely free of cost by subscribing selected recharge plans and STVs. By recharging FREE BSNL Tune packs, customers may also get the freedom to change their selected caller tune / hello tune as per their requirements. Customers can activate any of the above BSNL Prepaid Plans or STVs by recharging their BSNL prepaid mobile number with the desired denomination either online or through retailer shops. Customers may also opt Selfcare activation via SMS to 123 or by dialing USSD short code. However, the bundled free BSNL Tunes will be activated only for Online / C-Top Up recharge. It means, customers activating the above said offers via SMS or USSD will not get bundled FREE BSNL Tunes.
BSNL Prepaid Mobile Customers may use My BSNL Tunes mobile app to activate caller tune as per their choice. With My BSNL Tunes mobile app customers can play and activate tunes with just one click. It also offers a wide variety of options like – set different Caller tunes for different contacts, auto-detect Profile Tune – In meeting, device on silent, device on low battery, roaming etc. Customers may also activate Name Tunes. By activating name tunes, you can greet callers with your name.
