Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced the extension of the recent reformulation in Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband plans – upgradation in download speed & pre-FUP data usage – for all the existing and new customers of all the telecom circles.
As we reported on 13th October 2020, BSNL officially announced the upgradation in download speed and pre-FUP data usage in all existing Bharat Fiber (FTTH) broadband plans only in selected cities / areas where BSNL launched promotional Bharat Fiber Plans viz – Fiber Basic 449, Fiber Value 799, Fiber Premium 999 & Fiber Ultra 1499. Later, BSNL launched another new FTTH plan – Fiber Basic Plus 599 – as a regular offer available across all telecom circles in India. In addition, BSNL has also made Fiber Basic 449 plan available to all new customers in all the circles as a Welcome Offer.
Now, as per the latest information, all the existing BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers are going to get the benefit of increased download speed and increased pre-FUP data usage with immediate effect across all telecom circles except Andaman & Nicobar telecom circle. Existing customers need not pay any additional charges / up-gradation fee to avail the increased download speed and increased free data usage.
BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Speed Upgradation (pre-FUP download speed and post-FUP download speed)
- For all existing plans with fixed monthly rental less than Rs 500 will get 50Mbps download speed and 2Mbps speed after FUP usage.
- For plans with monthly rent ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 650 will get 100Mbps pre FUP download speed and 2Mbps post FUP speed.
- For plans having monthly rent ranging from Rs 651 to Rs 799 may get 100Mbps pre FUP download speed and 5Mbps post FUP download speed.
- Plans from Rs 800 to Rs 999 will get 100Mbps pre FUP download speed and 10Mbps post FUP download speed.
- From plans having FMC of Rs 1000 to 1499, customers may get 200Mbps pre FUP download speed and 15Mbps post FUP download speed.
- For premium Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plan i.e., plans having monthly rental above Rs 1499 will get pre FUP download speed of 200Mbps and post FUP download speed of 20Mbps.
BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband pre-FUP usage upgradation
- There will not be any change in pre FUP high speed usage limit in plans having monthly rental up to Rs 999.
- Customers in BSNL Bharat Fiber plans having FMC between Rs 1000 and Rs 1499, may enjoy 3.3TB pre FUP high speed data usage.
- For plans with FMC above Rs 1499, pre FUP usage limit will be 4TB.
All other terms and condition shall remain same. These instructions shall be implemented with immediate effect on regular basis in all the SSAs/BAs/Cities of
all the circles (except A&N circle).

Whether all BSNL Bharat Fiber Plans are available everywhere now?
No. BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plans – Fiber Value 799, Fiber Premium 999 & Fiber Ultra 1499 plans are now available only in selected cities / areas. Apart from these three plans, all other plans are available everywhere in India with upgraded speed and increased data usage.
How can I avail revised speed and data usage in my existing BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plan?
You need not do anything. BSNL will upgrade your plan automatically with upgraded speed and data usage.
Whether 300Mbps BSNL Bharat Fiber plan is available everywhere in India?
No. BSNL’s 300Mbps plan – Fiber Ultra 1499 – in now available only in selected cities /areas.
I am in BSNL Bharat Fiber Basic Plus 599 plan. May I get 100Mbps speed?
Well. This need further clarifications from BSNL. Is it possible to get my old landline number in bharat fiber?
I'm on 1277 750GB plan and I don't see that it is upgraded to 200Mbps 3.3TB anywhere.
Even on the BSNL's website/portal.

Thanks for the followup. Even with 750GB FUP, I was exhausting it all the time and recharging data top-ups most of the month. So, in the meantime waiting for these plan updations, I have changed my plan from 1277 to 599. This is a wonderful VFM plan. Also, I spoke with the exchange guy in my nearest exchange and he says 1277 is still having 750GB FUP in my place, not 3.3TB. If possible, could you confirm whether 1277 and Fibro ULD 1045 CS48 have been updated to 3.3TB FUP and 200Mbps in Kannur SSA?

I'm an existing customer. I'm currently using the 750 GB CUL of Rs 1277 plan. I'm still availing the old speed of 100 Mbps. When will it be upgraded to 200 Mbps? I stay in Ernakulam, Kerala. Speed is already upgraded for all existing customers. Please check speed via LAN cable else, please share your FTTH number and we will check it's status and update you at the earliest.

Abhnav Krshna C K, Voice facility is not bundled in some of the existing plans. It means, customers need to pay additional charges (Customer has to add Voice Plan separately) for Voice facility.
