BSNL – India’s largest wireline operator has announced the extension of applicability of newly launched promotional Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH) plans to all areas / cities in some of the telecom circles. As we reported earlier, BSNL initially launched promotional Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband plans on BSNL’s Foundation Day i.e., on 1st October 2020 only in selected cities and areas.
Later, BSNL extended these newly launched plans viz – Fiber Value, Fiber Premium & Fiber Ultra – to more areas as per the increasing demand from customers. BSNL added new cities to the list in the month of November 2020 & December 2020. Now as per the latest information, BSNL has decided to expand the list further in the month of January 2021 where customers in certain telecom circles like – Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are also allowed to opt these plans without any restrictions.

This revised areas are applicable with effect from 11th January 2021 onwards. Customers in these areas may get BSNL’s Ultra Fast 300Mbps FTTH Broadband service.
Bharat Fiber Welcome Offers (Introductory Plans)
BSNL’s introductory Bharat Fiber Plans – Fibre Basic 449 & Fiber Basic Plus 599 are now available in everywhere. However, Fiber Basic 449 plan with 30Mbps download speed till 3.3TB usage is limited to new customers. Customers opting Fiber Basic 449 plan will be converted automatically to Fiber Basic Plus 599 plan after 6 months. Fiber Basic Plus 599 plan offers 60 Mbps download speed till 3.3TB usage.

How can I book my BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Connection?
All these newly launched plans are now available either directly through BSNL or through LCOs/TIPs in these areas. Customers need to book BSNL FTTH connections through BookMyFiber Portal or My BSNL Mobile app. However to get your application processed faster, it is always recommended to submit application at your nearest BSNL customer service center or BSNL Office or BSNL exchange.
By aggressively providing new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) connections all over India, BSNL was able to achieve operational profit in the first half of financial year 2020-21. BSNL’s EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) rose from minus Rs. 3596 crores for half year ended in September, 2019 to positive Rs. 602 crores.
BSNL to launch IPTV Services soon!
BSNL is rapidly expanding its Fiber-To-The Home (FTTH) connections with the help of Local Cable Operators (LCOs), Telecom Infrastructure Providers (TIPs) and Multi System Operators (MSOs). BSNL’s IPTV services are also going to start very soon which would also result in an increased revenue performance as well as customer acceptance. BSNL IPTV services is going to be a game changer in fiber broadband segment since it consumes no customer data and there will not be any bandwidth congestion for simultaneous usage of broadband and IPTV services (even while watching HD tv channels).
