Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced that they will revise existing discount scheme to Govt. Employees for Landline, Broadband & Bharat fiber (FTTH) Services with effect from 1st February 2021. At present, BSNL allows 5% discount in monthly rental for Central or State Government or PSU employees.
BSNL’s 5% discount scheme for Government employees was applicable to both serving as well as retired employees under DSL, WiMax and FTTH Broadband services. Now BSNL authorities has decided to increase this discount to 10% for landline , broadband and Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers. This revised discount scheme is applicable to both new as well as existing customers from 1st February 2021 onwards on PAN India basis.
An official statement regarding the revision in discount scheme to Government employees read as follows: –
“It has been decided “to increase the discount from existing 5% to 10% for the serving and retired Central Government / State Government / PSU Employees (existing and new customers) under landline, ADSL Broadband and Bharat Fiber services.”
BSNL has already instructed their field units / telecom circles to inform customers about this latest discount scheme in advance. The above discount scheme shall be effective with effect from 01-02-2021 in all the Circles/Metro districts. All other terms and conditions shall remain same as per earlier circulars.
BSNL’s Revised Government / PSU Employee Discount Scheme
As per this latest announcement from BSNL, 10% discount will be available in monthly rental for serving and retired Government Employees and PSU Employees. This discount can be availed by both State Government and Central Government Employees.
How Can I avail BSNL 10% Government Employee Discount Scheme?
For Serving Employees: To avail 10% discount, you may submit request for 10% discount under Government / PSU Employee category along with Employment Certificate at your nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC).
For Retires Employees: To avail 10% discount, you may submit your request for discount along with attested copy of your pension book at your nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC).
The above discount scheme is applicable to both existing and new customers of BSNL with effect from 1st February 2021 in all telecom circles. It is to be noted that, this discount scheme will be enabled only for those customers who have submitted their request for Government Employee discount scheme with relevant supporting documents as stated above.
I have already availed BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Services. How can I avail this discount scheme?
BSNL Government Employee discount scheme is applicable to both existing and new customers all over India. If you haven’t availed this discount scheme at the time of application, you may just submit your request along with supporting document (Employment Certificate incase of serving employees & attested copy of Pension book incase of retired employees) in nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC). To claim government employee discount scheme, the connection (BSNL Landline or BSNL Broadband or BSNL FTTH) has to be in the name of serving / retired government or PSU employee.

Govt employees are getting huge salary and again they are being got 10% discount from bsnl.what a surprise .normal people like me and others are getting struggled for their daily needs.In kerala i dont anticipate any further connection or expansion for bsnl due to their poor customer support.all the Keralites are moving to "keralavision" .menawhile they are going to provide landline too.
