TRAI Report : BSNL is selected as the best mobile network in India with highest Voice Quality even during Covid-19 pandemic period

BSNL Mobile Network is once again selected as the best network in India with highest voice quality as per the latest TRAI report.  As compared to all other private mobile operators in India, BSNL mobile network got maximum voice quality rating of 4.0 which is followed by Vodafone with rating of 3.9 in May 2021.

From the average call quality rating from March 2021 to May 2021, we can see that, voice quality rating of BSNL Mobile network is continuously increasing. Same increasing patter is observed for Vodafone also. At the same period, voice quality rating for all other private mobile operators viz – Reliance Jio, Airtel and Idea is following a steep decline pattern. It means, during the second wave of Covid-19, all major private operators failed to meet customer expectation on Voice Call Quality. Now let us see detailed call quality experience of all major mobile networks in May 2021.

Call Quality Experience in May 2021 for BSNL

In May 2021, 85.07% customers of BSNL experienced Satisfactory voice quality whereas 10.79% customers experience poor voice quality and just 4.14% customers experience Voice Call Drop.

Call Quality Experience in May 2021 for IDEA

In May 2021, 41.4% customers of Idea experienced Call drop and 25.96% customers experienced poor voice quality. Around 32.63% customers experienced Satisfactory voice quality in Idea mobile network in May 2021.

Call Quality Experience in May 2021 for JIO

In the case of market leader Jio, around 33.53% customers experienced Call drop and 18.05% customers experienced poor voice quality. Nearly 48.42% customers are satisfied with Jio’s voice quality in May 2021.

Call Quality Experience in May 2021 for VODAFONE

For Vodafone, more than 74.89% customers are satisfied with voice quality & 18.5% customers experienced poor voice quality. Just 6.61% customers faced call drop issue in Vodafone network.

Call Quality Experience in May 2021 for AIRTEL

More than 67.89% customer are satisfied with voice quality of Airtel mobile network and around 22.04% customers felt poor voice quality. 10.47% customers of Airtel faced severe call drop issue in the month of May 2021.
