Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) – India’s largest fixed line operator has announced a new promotional offer for it’s ADSL Broadband customers in all the telecom circles. As per the latest information, the PSU has decided to offer ADSL Broadband modem at a reduced monthly rental charges of Rs 29/– to new customers.
This scheme is applicable to those customers who wish to avail ADSL Broadband modem on monthly rental from BSNL. Earlier, BSNL was charging Rs 70/- (For non-WiFi ADSL Broadband Modem) & Rs 110/- (For WiFi ADSL Broadband Modem) as modem rental charges. Now as per this latest tariff order, BSNL will be collecting Rs 29/- only as monthly modem rental charges from customers who were provided with recovered ADSL modems.
An Official statement from BSNL regarding the discounted monthly rental charges for ADSL Modem read as follows:-
The Competent Authority has decided to offer recovered ADSL modem at a reduced monthly rental charges @Rs.29/- p.m. (till the closure of Broadband connection) to another customers taking Broadband connection and wants modem on rental basis, on promotional basis for a period up to 22-09-2021.
BSNL authorities has also directed it’s field units to ensure that the rented modems are recovered after closure of Broadband connections from the premises of customer. BSNL area heads are also directed to decide the minimum quantity of inventory (which is to be supplied to the Cluster partners per cluster) out of total available stock of recovered modem and make an arrangement to adjust such quantity against actual Broadband connection sale.
The above instructions shall be implemented with immediate effect on promotional basis for a period up to 22nd September 2021 in all circles. BSNL telecom circles are directed to comply with all regulatory requirements including online reporting to TRAI and also update the circle website.
