Kudos to the entire Team BSNL ! The latest TRAI telecom subscription report for the month of May 2021 brings cheers to BSNL and BSNL fans across India. As per the latest information, BSNL added more than 11.29 lakh new wireline subscribers in the month of May 2021.
With this amazing performance, BSNL market share for wireline subscriber base has increased from 35.13% in April 2021 to 35.43% in May 2021. BSNL’s net wireline subscriber base showed positive results after a very long period and that too with flying colors. Bharat Fiber (FTTH) is the real game changer for BSNL. BSNL was able to activate new FTTH connections all over India even in rural and remote areas with the help and active participation of LCOs/TIPs/MSOs.
In net addition of wireline subscribers, BSNL was able to achieve net positive customer addition of 11,29,080 which is followed by Reliance Jio with net positive customer addition of just 1,77,959 only. Vodafone Idea is at 3rd position with net positive customer addition of just 17,570. Bharti Airtel was also able to maintain net positive customer addition in May 2021 where they could add just 4013 net positive customers.
Total Wireline Subscribers in India
BSNL and MTNL, the two PSU access service providers, held 48.72% of the wireline market share as on 31st May, 2021.

end of May 2021. Net increase in the
wireline subscriber base was 1.30
million with a monthly growth rate
of 6.40%. The share of urban and
rural subscribers in total wireline
subscribers were 90.93% and
9.07% respectively at the end of
May, 2021.

end of April 2021 to 1.59% at the end

Broadband Market Share as on May 2021
The number of broadband
subscribers decreased from 782.86
million at the end of April 2021 to
780.27 million at the end of May 2021 with a monthly decline rate of
0.33%. Top five service providers
constituted 98.80% market share
of the total broadband subscribers
at the end of May 2021. These service providers were: –

Wireless Broadband Service providers
were Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd (431.23
million), Bharti Airtel (189.49 million),
Vodafone Idea (119.63 million), BSNL
(16.44 million) and Tikona Infinet Ltd.

May-21, thereby registering a monthly
decline rate of 0.53%. As on 31st May, 2021, the private access service providers held 89.83%
market share of the wireless subscribers whereas BSNL and MTNL, the two
PSU access service providers, had a market share of only 10.17%.

Except West Bengal, all service areas showed decline in their wireless
subscribers during the month of May 2021. Reliance Jio added 35,54,722 new mobile subscribers in May 2021. In fact, Jio is the only operator who can maintain net positive customer additions in May 2021.

All other private mobile operators including state run telcos – BSNL and MTNL witnessed negative growth during the same period. Reliance Communications lost 309 customers in May 2021. BSNL and MTNL the two state owned operators lost 2,436 and 9,30814 customers respectively in May 2021. Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel witnessed huge decline in mobile customers in May 2021. Airtel lost 46, 13,521 mobile customers and Vodafone Idea lost 42,81,532 mobile subscribers in May 2021.

I am using BSNL FTTH for 6 months and I am 101% satisfied with its performance as compared to KV. KV is really loosing grip in FTTH business.
Waiting for one month to get connection. Raised complaint in greviance but no use. They are closing complaints with out resolving
Inspite of repeated request,they have expressed their inability to provide me the above services,though I was BB customer of theirs since 2000 till Feb2020
