BSNL FTTH customers are normally making payment of their broadband internet bills via BSNL Payment Portal or My BSNL App. However, there exists a large number of customers who always prefer BSNL Customer Servcie Centres (BSNL CSCs) for bill payment. Now BSNL is providing new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) connections via Franchisees / TIPs (Telecom Infrastructure Providers) / LCOs / MSOs. In addition to sales, marketing, provisioning and maintenence, these FTTH franchisees are also authorized to collect BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) bills directly from their customers.
After the BSNL VRS scheme two years back, most of the BSNL Customer Service Centres (BSNL CSCs) were outsourced for operation and revenue / bill collection from customers. BSNL FTTH bill payment was not possible from such Customer Service Centres (Outsourced Customer Service Centres of BSNL) if FTTH connections were actually provided by BSNL Franchisees / LCOs. This was creating problems and hardships to BSNL FTTH customers especially senior citizens who always trust BSNL Customer Service Centres for their Bill Payment.
BSNL Outsourced CSCs are using CBP Wallet system to collect payment from landline and broadband customers. Now they can use their existing CBP Wallet system to accept FTTH bill payment also. However there is a catch in the above bill payment scheme for BSNL FTTH Franchisees. BSNL is already giving commission to Outsourced CSCs for collecting landline / broadband / mobile bills from customers. In the case of BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) bill payment, the commission payable to Outsourced CSC will be deducted from the revenue share amount of BSNL FTTH franchisees / LCOs/MSOs. BSNL will deduct the commission payable to Outsourced CSC as Collection Charges from FTTH partner in their monthly invoice prepared through FMS system.
