BSNL has announced Free 4G SIM offer for all new prepaid mobile customers till 31st December 2021. As per the latest information, all new as well as MNP Port In customers choosing BSNL’s prepaid mobile plans can avail Free 4G SIM Card from BSNL. Customers can avail Free BSNL SIM cards from BSNL Customer Service Centres as well as BSNL retailer shops in your nearest location.
The newly announced offer is applicable only in BSNL Kerala Telecom Circle till 31st December 2021. As per this latest scheme, new or MNP Port In Customers choosing BSNL prepaid mobile plans with FRC (First Recharge Coupon) amount higher than Rs 100/- will be offered Free 4G SIM card. Recently extra validity offer was announced by BSNL for one of it’s most popular prepaid plan – BSNL 699 Plan – where customers can avail 180 days validity and true unlimited voice calls to any network. BSNL 699 prepaid plan also allows 500MB data per Day + 100 Free SMS / Day + Free BSNL Tunes.
An Official statement from BSNL regarding the launch of Free 4G SIM Offer for new / MNP customers read as follows:-
ln order to gain the customer base and revenue increase in these testing times and to achieve the monthly SIM sales target, approval of the competent authority is hereby conveyed to offer free 4G SIM with effect from 1st October for New Connections / MNP till 31st December 2O21.

The Free SlM offer is applicable for all Prepaid plans for FRCs>Rs.100/-. If you wish to port your existing mobile number to BSNL, it is the right time as you can avail your BSNL 4G SIM card absolutely free. How Can I Port My Vi / Airtel / Jio / any other number to BSNL ?
Now customers can change service provider of your existing mobile connection without changing their existing mobile number. To port your existing number which is working in any of the private mobile operators, you need to submit your porting application in nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre or your nearest BSNL Retailer. Customers need to get their Unique Porting Code (UPC) from the existing operator (Donor Operator) and the same UPC has to be given along with your application form at BSNL Customer Service Centre or BSNL Retailer.
How to get Unique Porting Code (UPC)?
To get UPC from your existing operator, you need to send an SMS request in the following format to 1900. Soon after sending this SMS, you will get a reply SMS from 1901 which will contain the Unique Porting Code (UPC) for your mobile number. The SMS will also indicate the validity period of UPC.

Validity of Unique Porting Code (UPC)?
As per the latest directios from TRAI,UPC will be valid for 4 (four) days for all areas except of Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East, where it will remain valid for 30 days. For Counting validity of UPC, the day on which UPC is generated is excluded.
What are the Charges to be paid while submitting PORT IN application form at BSNL ?
You need to select the desired prepaid / postpaid tariff plan at the time of application and the first recharge amount also has to be given along with your application form. After receiving your application, you will be provided with a new BSNL 4G SIM card which will be made operational within 4 days of your request.
