As we reported earlier, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) revised the validity of all existing prepaid 3G/2G data STVs from ‘Days’ to ‘Calendar Days’ with effect from 1st May 2016.
This tariff revision was applicable to all corporate data STVs (corporate data STVs are those which are available in all circles). However, BSNL South Zone telecom circles were not implemented this revision in validity to Data STVs which are having a validity period of One Day.
They had requested BSNL Corporate Office for deferment of change in validity to Calendar Days to Data STV 68 and Data STV 17* (both these STVs are having a validity of One Day).
Based on the response from customers, BSNL authorities has approved the request from BSNL South Zone circles and decided to allow validity in ‘Days’ (instead of Calendar Days) to Data STV 68 (on PAN India basis) and Data STV 17* (for South Zone Only) till further order. (*MRP of Data STV is Rs 14 for Kerala Telecom Circle)
For all other Data STVs, validity will expire at 23:59 hours of the last day irrespective of time of recharge on 1st day. It means that while counting the validity, the Day of Recharge (irrespective of time) also will be counted as ONE DAY for all other Data STVs except Data STV 68 (in all circles) and Data STV 17 (for South Zone Only).
