Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released the latest telecom subscription data as on 30th November 2014. As per this report, the number of broadband subscribers increased from 79.21 million at the end of October, 2014 to 82.22 million at the end of November, 2014 with monthly growth rate of 3.79%.
BSNL maintained the No.1 postion in the wired broadband segment with 18.70 million customers. As an operator BSNL holds 1st position with Kerala circle having highest number of telephone connections (Wired + Wireless) within one telecom circle.
BSNL was placed as No.2 operator in total wireless connections in a single circle in Kerala Telecom Circle. In wireless broadband segment, Bharati Airtel holds the No.1 position with 16.77 million customers.
The total number of telephone subscribers in India increased from 962.63 million at the end of October, 2014 to 964.20 million at the end of November, 2014, thereby showing a monthly growth rate of 0.16%
There was a significant growth (around 4.57%) in Wireless Broadband (Mobile & Dongles) segment during November 2014. But wired subscriptions showed a minimal growth of 0.53%. At the same time Fxed Wireless Broadband Subscriber base showed a growth rate of 3.52%
