Good news for BSNL prepaid mobile customers all over India, as the PSU now allows automatic validity extension with STVs and Combo STVs. Extension of plan validity of prepaid mobile connection is always a headache for most of the users. After the introduction of unlimited recharge offers by telecom service providers, majority of users are recharging their numbers with the most economical STV or Combo Voucher which is presently available in market.

Most of the private telecom operators had introduced mandatory minimum monthly recharge amount to make their mobile connection active. To overcome the issue of minimum monthly recharge and validity extension, BSNL now allows automatic plan validity extension with STVs or Combo Vouchers. It means, BSNL prepaid mobile customers can increase their plan validity with any STV or Combo STV of their choice. However, customers need to recharge any STV / Combo STV before the expiry date of current plan and plan validity gets extended corresponding to validity of activated STV recharged by the customer.

As per the latest information from BSNL – “Plan validity in respect of Mithram Plus, Per Minute, Per Second, Plan 108, Plan 153, Plans 186/485/666/365/997/999/1999 will be extended corresponding to validity of STV / Combo Vouchers (except for STVs 25, 58,168) recharged via CTOPUP/Online  when validity of recharged STV is more than existing plan validity.”

How can I increase validity of my BSNL prepaid mobile with STV/Combo STV?

For validity expired customers, Plan Voucher recharge is mandatory to increase validity. Customers can use STV/Combo STV to increase validity only before the expiry date.

You need to recharge with any Plan Voucher (Validity Recharge).

If validity of your BSNL prepaid mobile number is going to expire within a short period, you can extend plan validity with any Combo STV as per your choice/requirement. You may choose any of the existing prepaid STV or Combo STV viz – STV 97 / STV 99 / STV 187 / STV 247 / STV 319 / STV 499 / STV 599 etc. After recharging with STV / Combo STV, your plan validity will be extended up to the validity period  of activated voucher.
