As per latest TRAI telecom subscription data, BSNL is the largest fixed line operator in India with 38.55% market share. A major portion of BSNL’s existing wireline customers are using Voice Only services for home / office purpose. Customers who need high speed data might have already migrated to BSNL’s Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband services which is now available all over India even in rural and remote areas.
BSNL is making agreements with Local Cable Operators / Telecom Infrastructure Providers / Multi System Operators to provide Bharat Fiber (FTTH) services to general public at most affordable tariff. But still there exist a large number of population depend on BSNL Landline for Voice Only facility. Now let us see what are the latest BSNL Landline plans which are available for existing / new customers and various advance payment schemes and their benefits.

As we reported on 19th October 2020, BSNL migrated customers in some of the old landline plans to unlimited combo broadband plans in an attempt to minimize the number of landline tariff plans. Around 36 numbers of landline plans were closed in the month of October 2020 and customers in all those landline plans were given unlimited voice calling facility and migrated to the nearest combo broadband tariff plan. After the rationalization, only the above landline tariff plans are available for existing / new landline customers for subscription.
BSNL Landline General Plans
BSNL offers different landline plans starting from Rs 149 onwards. Landline plans with unlimited calling facility is available for Rural All CUL 249 & Value All CUL 329 plans. Value All CUL 329 plan is available in urban areas whereas Rural All CUL 249 plan is available for customers in rural areas. Other landline plans with limited calling facility are Super Value BSNL CUL 149 & General FMC 199 rural plan.
BSNL Sulabh Landline Plan with Incoming Only Facility
BSNL Sulabh Landline plan allows only incoming call facility with fixed monthly charge of Rs 150/-. Customers who doesn’t require outgoing call facility may opt BSNL Sulabh landline plan.
BSNL Landline Annual Advance Payment Schemes
BSNL Landline customers may opt One Year or Two Year or Three Year advance payment scheme to avail special discount on monthly rental.
One Year Scheme : Customers can enjoy 13 moths service by paying for 12 months rental in advance.
Two Year Scheme : By paying 24 months rental in advance, customers may enjoy 27 months service.
Three Year Scheme : 4 months additional free service will be given for customers paying advance rental for 36 months.
BSNL’s Special Annual Landline Plans 1200&1500
BSNL allows special annual payment schemes LL-1200 & LL-1500 for landline customers in rural and urban areas respectively. Rural customers may get annual subscription to BSNL Landline Service by paying just Rs 1200/- whereas Urban customers will be charged Rs 1500/- for the same. In both these plans, customers will be charged at Rs 1.2/MCU for all voice calls made during day time. There is no free calls bundled with LL-1200 & LL-1500 plans. However, customers in these two plans may enjoy unlimited voice calls to any network during night (from10.30pm to 6.00 am) & during Sundays without paying anything extra.
ASEEM Virtual Landline Plans from BSNL
BSNL customers can also avail Virtual Landline connections in ASEEM plan. Here, BSNL will be providing a virtual landline number where all incoming calls to that landline number will be routed to a mobile number as desired by the customer. This scheme is very much useful when fault in your existing landline telephone is irreparable or at the time when you are migrating to BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband. Customers can avail BSNL ASEEM plan at just Rs 99 for 4 months (if destination mobile number is a BSNL number) or Rs 199 for 4 months (if destination mobile number is a non-BSNL number).
FREE ASEEM Plan to Customers migrating to Bharat Fiber (FTTH)
BSNL customers migrating to Bharat Fiber (FTTH) may avail FREE ASEEM plan where all incoming calls to your old landline number will be routed to your new BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) number.
BSNL Landline Add-on Plans
In addition to the general / special landline plans, customers may also opt additional add-on tariff plans as per their requirement. There are two categories of add-on plans – 1)Bonus Talk Time Add-on plans & 2) Friends and Family Add-on plans.
Bonus Talk Time Add-on Plans : These add-on plans can be added with any limited calling landline tariff plans like Plan 149 or 199 to get increased / unlimited calling benefits.
Friends & Family Add-on Plans : These add-on plans allows customers in limited calling landline plans like Plan 149 or Plan 199 to avail unlimited calling facility to a specific set of mobile numbers as decided by the customer.
