BSNL has announced the extension of recently launched promotional prepaid mobile FRC plan ₹249 as a regular offer with effect from 1st April 2021 onwards across all the telecom circles. As we reported on last month, BSNL launched this promotional prepaid mobile plan in an attempt to boost its prepaid mobile activations in March 2021.
BSNL FRC ₹249 plan became most popular among BSNL retailers and DSA because within a short span of time because of the lucrative commission structure. BSNL has also decided to revise the data freebies with FRC 249 plan as unlimited data 1GB/Day without any change in other freebies or validity period. Customers can enjoy true unlimited voice calls to any network including MTNL areas of Delhi & Mumbai and 100 Free SMS/Day to any network. The validity of plan/freebies will be 60 days.

All other terms and conditions will be as per Plan 107. The revised OTF (On The Fly) commission to retailers / DSAs / OCSCs /REDs will be Rs 180/- per activation. Trade scheme will be as per the existing policy only. The revised FRC plan 249 will be effective from 1st April 2021 across all the telecom circles. The implementation of the tariff will be made in accordance with 43rd Amendment of Telecom Tariff Order and orders/guidelines/clarifications issued by TRAI from time to time.
BSNL 249 prepaid mobile plan is very much beneficial to new prepaid mobile customers as this plan is bundled with true unlimited voice calls to any network without any FUP limits, unlimited data 1GB/Day & 100 Free SMS/Day. All these freebies are available for a period of 60 days. New as well as MNP Port-In customers can opt this plan since this plan offers lowest per day cost of just Rs 4.15/- only. However, existing prepaid mobile customers cannot use this plan voucher for validity extension / migration as this plan is launched exclusively as an FRC plan (First Recharge Coupon).
