BSNL has announced the revision in sale price of 5G/4G SIM and SIM replacement cost with effect from 1st April 2025 onwards across all the telecom circles in India.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Sale price of BSNL 4G & 5G SIM is revised to Rs 40/- from the existing rate of Rs 20/-.
- SIM replacement charges is revised to Rs 60/- from the existing rate of Rs 50/-.
- BSNL Kerala Circle has decided to offer FREE SIM Cards with new as well as MNP Connections for the quarter 1 of Financial Year 2025-26.
- Existing BSNL customers in Kerala, having 2G/3G SIM can upgrade to 4G SIM Cards absolutely FREE during the Financial Year 2025-26.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised the sale price as well as replacement charges of SIM cards with effect from 01-04-2025. The revision is applicable to all existing as well as new customers of BSNL Mobile services. The sale price of all types of of 4G USIM / 5G NSA ready USIMs have been fixed as Rs.40/- (inclusive of GST). This charge is applicable to SIM cards of all memory capacity and size (normal / micro / nano).
An official statement from BSNL regarding the rationalisation of SIM charges from 01-04-2025 read as follows. The revision in BSNL 4G / 5G NSA USIM charges (Sale price & Replacement charge) is applicable to customers in all the telecom circles in India.
It has been decided by the competent authority to rationalize the Sale price of 4G/5G USIM and the SIM replacement cost under GSM mobile services as under: –
- A. Sales price (MRP) of all type of 4GUSIM/5G NSA ready USIMs (regardless of memory size/FF/normalSIM) as Rs.40 (incl. of GST).
- B. To rationalize the SIM replacement cost to Rs.60 which will be taken in cash from customer. On successful SIM replacement through BSNL sales channel i.e., Franchisees/retailers, Rs.0 will bededucted from the balance of C-Top-Up SIM of the channel partners (i.e. franchisee/retailer) through which SIM replacement is being done.
The above tariff will be applicable from 01-04-2025 across all the telecom circles.
BSNL SIM Charges for Replacement / Duplicate SIM / SIM Swap / Upgradation with effect from 1st April 2025.
BSNL corporate office has delegated the power to offer Free SIM cards for SIM Replacement / SIM Swap / SIM upgradation to all the heads of telecom circles based on their local market condition and requirements during the financial year 2025-26.
FREE SIM for New & MNP Connections in Kerala Circle till 30th June 2025
As per the latest information, BSNL Kerala Telecom Circle has decided to offer FREE SIM Cards for New and MNP Connections with effect from 01-04-2025 but with a condition. This FREE SIM Card (worth Rs 40/-) is applicable for customers opting First Recharge Coupon (FRC) of Rs 200/- and above. Customers opting FRC below Rs 200/- need to pay the SIM charges of Rs 40/- along with FRC amount at the time of SIM activation.
FREE 4G SIM for existing customers having 2G/3G SIM Cards in Kerala Circle till 31st March 2026
BSNL Kerala Telecom Circle has also decided to offer FREE 4G SIM Cards for existing customers having 2G/3G SIM cards during the financial year 2025-26. If you are still using BSNL’s 2G / 3G SIM card, you can avail this offer any time in this Financial Year. To get FREE 4G SIM upgrade, just visit your nearest BSNL Customer Service Center or BSNL’s Retailer shop with your existing SIM card. Reimbursement of Free SIM to Channel partners will be done by BSNL as done in previous years. It is to be noticed that a cost of Rs.60/- will be collected for normal SIM swap as well as for replacement of SIM due to SIM loss or damage.
