BSNL Kerala Telecom circle has declared Christmas (December 25, 2015) & New Year Eve (December 31, 2015) as ‘Blackout Days’ for all prepaid mobile customers. On blackout day, No concessional tariff on Voice Calls / SMS for prepaid mobile will be available.
Blackout will be for all Voice / Roam / SMS / ISD STVs, Friends and Family Offer, Free Calls to Pyari Jodi Landline, Plan Voucher Freebies etc. this include STV 135/149 etc. also. It means, a prepaid mobile customer has to top up for main account balance for making voice calls / SMS on Christmas (December 25) & New Year Eve (December 31).

Customers are advised to make use of the Christmas & New Year Special Full Talk Time / Extra Talk Time Offers which are available from 22-12-2015 onwards. BSNL also declared Full Talk Time for Top Up 80 for a period of 10 days from 22-12-2015 to 31-12-2015. BSNL authorities also informed that, Blackout is not applicable to Combo STV 26 i.e., usage value of Rs 30 may be utilized for making calls during the Blackout Days. Blackout is not applicable to 3G/2G Prepaid Data STVs.

For BSNL postpaid mobile customers, Blackout will be applicable only on New Year Eve (December 31, 2015).
All 2G/3G mobile plans are offered with initial freebies (Plan Voucher Freebies) or monthly freebies on Voice / SMS. These concessional freebies will not be applicable on Black out days and all calls / SMS will be charged as per their base tariff plan.
The reduced tariff on Voice / SMS STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers), discounted calling offers like – ‘Friend & Family’ & ‘Pyari Jodi’ etc. also will be withdrawn, during blackout days. All your voice calls and SMS will be charged according with the parent plan on these Black out days.
