Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced the re-launch of promotional Free Installation Offer for new Bharat Fiber (FTTH), Landline, Broadband, Bharat Air Fiber and Broadband over WiFi connections all over India. As we reported on 23rd February 2021, the scheme of waiver off installation charges was initially launched till 31st March 2021.
The scheme helped BSNL to add millions of new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband connections in the last month of the previous financial year. Based on the positive response from customers all over India, the PSU has decided to re-launch the same scheme further for a period up to 31-04-2021 across all the telecom circles. New customers opting BSNL FTTH (BSNL Fiber Broadband) connection may enjoy discount of Rs 500/- in their first bill during this promotional period.

An Official statement from BSNL regarding the re-launch of this promotional scheme read as follows:-
Now, competent authority has decided “to waive off installation charges of Rs. 250/- (for Cu connections) and Rs. 500/- (for Bharat Fibre connections) currently levied on BSNL Landline/Broadband connections (Cu/Fibre/BBoWiFi/Bharat Air Fibre) on promotional basis till 30-04-2021 in all the circles”.
The above instructions shall be applicable with immediate effect, on promotional basis for a period up to 30-04-2021 in all the circles. 100% waiver off installation charges is applicable to traditional telephone connections also. It means, new BSNL telephone / broadband / internet connection provided via copper cables (Old Landline / ADSL Broadband) also comes under this offer. At present BSNL is charging Rs 250/- as installation charges for new telephone / broadband connections provided via copper cable.
New Customers need to pay FTTH Modem (ONT/ONU) Charges
New BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers need to pay the modem charges at the time of installation. The type of modem can be decided by the customer as per his/her selected plan and usage requirements. For plans above 100Mbps, it is always suggested to use dual band wifi router which will offer superior performance than single band FTTH modems.

If BSNL make its FTTH plans as prepaid instead of postpaid then people will not think too much while opting for broadband
Is security charges and installation charges are different?
Yes. Security Deposit (BB Plan Deposit) is 100% Refundable whereas Installation charges is non-refundable.
What will be the cost of instruments of air fiber cost including installation charge?
