BSNL has announced the launch of Next Generation Audio / Multimedia Video conferencing service for its customers. As we reported earlier, BSNL started upgrading their landline network to IP based next generation network (NGN) which allows many additional features like audio conferencing, video conferencing, video calls etc.
Now, BSNL has announced promotional as well as regular tariff for Audio / Multimedia Video conferencing service for its customers across India. As per the latest information, during promotional period, BSNL will be offering these plans at zero monthly rental.
In order to promote this new service BSNL has come up with this initial special discount scheme for its customers on PAN India basis with immediate effect upto 30th November. BSNL offers lower tariffs ranging from Rs.5/min for Audio conference involving upto 3 participants to Rs.6000 for a 6 hour video conference involving between 21 to 30 participants.

After the promotional period expires on 30th November, the regular tariff which is higher will apply from 1st December 2015. In the regular tariff the monthly rental for Audio conference is Rs.25 and for video conference it is Rs.200. The regular tariff ranges from Rs.10/min for an Audio conference involving upto 3 participants to Rs.12000 for 6 hours video conference involving between 21 to 30 participants.

Additional Details about Tariff:
- There is a 25% discount in tariff for usage during 9 PM to 8 AM.
- During the peak time of 11 AMto 4 PM there will be an increase in tariff by 10%.
- Data conferencing will be charged at the same rate as video conferencing.
- Multimedia Video conference can have non BSNL participants and would be provided on BSNL landline number only.
- Also Rs.25 will be charged for conference booking.
