Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the implementation of Landline / Broadband to Bharat Fiber conversion by retaining the same landline number. The scheme is now made available in all the telecom circles.
Now, BSNL Landline / Broadband customers can migrate their existing landline number to Bharat Fiber connection (BSNL FTTH) on request. As per this latest scheme, Landline / Landline + Broadband customers can migrate their landline number to Bharat Fiber Voice / Voice + Broadband connection.
Because of high data usage, there was demand for conversion of existing landline connection to Bharat Fiber connection (by retaining the same number). At present, BSNL allows Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH) connections with new number levels only. But many BSNL landline customers were asking for the conversion of their existing number to FTTH. The process of conversion was technically not feasible in BSNL till now. To overcome this issue, BSNL has developed and implemented a new software update in their system to convert their existing landline number to fiber category. With this update, existing landline numbers can easily upgrade their number to BSNL FTTH.
How can I get my old landline number converted to BSNL FTTH?
As per the latest information, customer has to submit his/her request at nearest BSNL customer service centre (BSNL CSC). You can get the same landline number activated on Bharat Fiber only if your landline is working on BSNL NGN switch (ZTE/UTSTAR/Huawei). BSNL is in the process of migrating all old landline exchanges to next generation NGN switch in a phased manner. This process of up-gradation of BSNL exchanges will be completed within a couple of months.
Tariff Plan, Deposit & Brioadband User ID
Customers can select any of the existing Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH) plans of his choice at the time of application. Existing deposit of customer will be taken into account in billing automatically. In addition, existing landline number and broadband user ID will also remain the same after conversion to Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH).
Initial Charges for Upgrading landline number to BSNL FTTH
Customer need to pay initial charges as in the case of new Bharat Fiber connection. Initial charges include – Fiber modem charges, Installation charges & Fiber modem security deposit (for modem rental cases only). If your connection is being provided through LCO (Local Cable Operator) / TIP (Telecom Infrastructure Provider), the cost of fiber modem has to be paid directly to the concerted LCO/TIP by the customer at the time of installation.
Why we should choose BSNL FTTH ?
BSNL Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH) connection speed is stable and reliable as well as BSNL provide public IP to each individual customer. Double VLAN tagging ensures security for customer data and transactions. In addition, BSNL offers All India Free Phone Calls. BSNL is the only fiber fiber broadband service provider who provides GST bill to all its customers. Customers can also book BSNL FTTH connection through Book My Fiber Portal or upgraded My BSNL App. BSNL has over a decade of service tradition in fiber broadband segment. BSNL is having the largest and best MPLS core fiber network in India. The PSU has also started offering BSNL IPTV service in selected locations along with FTTH. BSNL IPTV services will be extended to other places very soon.
If your old landline number is working in BSNL NGN (Next Generation Network) switch (ZTE/UTSTAR/Huawei) and BSNL Bharat Fiber connection is feasible in your location, you can simply upgrade your existing landline number to optical fiber connection.

How do we know landline is connected to NGN switches?
Dear Sir, just give your request for fiber connection in your nearest BSNL customer service center.
Bad service and low quality. The internet is not stable. And the JTO in our exchange is really bad. she simply closing my complaints with resolving it. I am using with FTTH Number 04828235276.
Dear Sir, please call BSNL Broadband heldesk number 12678 from your FTTH voice number (or STD CODE + 12678 from mobile number). They will assist you in resolving issues.
BSNL's FTTH connections are anything else but stable. We live in a condominium in Jalandhar, and BSNL has made the lives of their users here a horror story. We have a 100mbps connection, and service is atrocious. Net speed is generally in single or low double figures, disconnection is frequent and excuses by their officers are many.
I have aseem plan of my number 04832776549.Can I upgrade?
It is good news that BSNL is giving number Portability from NGN land line to FTTH. I hope that shortly it will have this feature for non NGN land line also. The speech quality in FTTH is quite good. Hope this portability is there for Air fibre service also.
BSNL, with its non professional attitude and non-customer-friendly mode of business, has lost all credibility. The landline phone no. 03324102238 at my residence is lying out of order since around last two months even after lodging complaint. Still they are totally nonresponsive but nonshameful enough to raise their bimonthly bill. How they can provide good service? First they should replace all the lazy and incompetent people and create a smooth customer friendly environment.
Dear sir, kindly give written complaint to the officer in charge of your telephone exchange.
To compite with JIO, BSNL must also reduce FTTH plans to ₹399/- without FUP or high FUP for home user like jio launch new plan of ₹399 and installation charges are also high.
Recently BSNL broadband service improved significantly.Hopefully they maintain it with user-friendly customer service.

"BSNL is the only fiber service provider who provides GST bill"
Lol, who are we kidding. This shows the author has no idea about broadband market.
Bro, how many Lcoal cable Tv operators are giving GST invoices to customers. Just check with your friends and comment. I am a Kerala Vision customer, they are not giving GST invoice or allowing online payment option to me. Same is the situation everywhere. Cable operators normally won't give proper invoice to customers.

Can we access existing FTTH number on our mobile from any where?
In overseas to BSNL FTTH land line phone which additional no use to call (+91area code and landline no) when making call does not exist,
A
BSNL exchange in Panampilly Nagar, Ernakulam doesn't allow Broadband customers to retain their existing landline number to Bharat Fiber (FTTH). They are suggesting to choose the virtual landline plan if we wish to retain the landline number (without physical copper connection) and the calls to it forwarded to a mobile number of our choice. This is in addition to the FTTH. So, the news of having the same landline number via FTTH is all humbug, at least in Ernakulam.
Have been trying to get an FTTH connection for my existing landline no 0487-2332516 from August 2020. First applied in portal but no response. Then went and gave application in the office twice – no response other than one call after 2 months which asked if we are still looking for the connection. Now again 2 months have passed but no sight of FTTH. If this the level of service, I am not sure how it is going to sustain!
Please give the list of exchanges those who given convertion fecility
Please provide the current status of this. My exchange said there is no such thing as migrating existing broadband number to ftth. Could you please reply if this is still available?
My exchange denied the availability of this option. Could you please update if migration is still possible?
your front line office staff are simply useless and irresponsible , they will spoil your business also, if you remove those you can save lot of cost and bring down the prices as well.
Dear Sir, How to reactivate mail id provided by BSNL ([email protected]), I have been using it for my work but it has been deactivated for the past one week without proper prior info. Kindly let me know if can get it again. I am willing to pay the charges for same.
