    BSNL launched HD quality VoLTE services in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and more cities are being added

    State run telecom major – BSNL has announced the launch of HD quality VoLTE (Voice over Long Term Evolution) services in the entire South Zone telecom circles in India.

    As per the latest information, BSNL Mobile customers in  Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh can enjoy VoLTE services with superior voice quality. With this, a BSNL 4G Mobile customer can make both Voice and Video calls over data. More and more new locations are being added to this list as the PSU is rolling out 4G mobile network all over India.
    How to activate BSNL VoLTE Service on your number?
    BSNL Mobile customers (both prepaid and postpaid) can activate the VoLTE services on their 4G enabled smartphones by texting ‘ACT VOLTE’ to 53733. Once it is done, the services will be activated in 24 hours.

    You can also activate the services by checking the APN settings. For Android phones, you need to check the settings, then mobile networks, and then check APN. For iPhone phones, first, you need to check the settings, cellular data options, and cellular networks.

    After the activation of VoLTE services, customers has to set network mode in the mobile network settings in your mobile handset with the any of the following settings:-

    • LTE Preferred Mode
    • LTE / WCDMA / GSM Auto
    • VoLTE Enabled


    For Android users follow these steps of activating BSNL VoLTE
    Step 1: Go to Settings
    Step 2: Tap on Mobile networks
    Step 3: Look for VoLTE option and turn on VoLTE call.

    For iOS users follow these steps of activating BSNL VoLTE
    Step 1: Go to Settings
    Step 2: Go to Mobile Data
    Step 3: Look for Mobile Data Options
    Step 4: Make sure to enable 4G
    Step 5: Activate Voice & Data.
    After you have completed these steps, your smartphone’s status bar will show VoLTE icon. It should be noted that most of the current generation smartphones support VoLTE call.

    How to check your mobile handset compatible with BSNL 4G ?
    Customers can check whether their mobile handset is compatible for BSNL 4G Mobile Services through SMS.

    Step 1: First, find the IMEI Number of your Mobile handset by typing *#06# in dial pad. You will get 15 digit IMEI number, If two IMEI numbers you are getting displayed, use the first one only.

    Step 2: Send SMS as KYM <IMEI Number> to 14422
    You must send the text message without space and brackets from your Mobile Handset with above syntax. Immediately you will get a reply to check for BSNL 4G compatibility of your mobile handset.

    Step 3: If the reply contains ‘LTE FDD Band 1’ then your mobile handset is compatible to BSNL 4G services.

    Whether I can use my old SIM card (BSNL 3G / BSNL 2G) to access BSNL 4G and BSNL 4G VoLTE?
    No. Existing BSNL mobile customers need to change their old SIM card with BSNL 4G enabled SIM card from nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC) or Retailer Shop. BSNL will be offering Free 4G upgrade SIM to customers in those areas where network up-gradation is being done.

    Customers can activate BSNL VoLTE services absolutely free. It means, there is no charges for BSNL VoLTE activation and it is a free facility for all the prepaid and postpaid mobile customers. The VoLTE service will provide high definition voice quality and quick call connectivity for voice calls.

      I am from Kerala living in Trivandrum.. I had already sent the SMS to activate Volte and also i am having BSNL Sim written 'BSNL-4G' in its surface. But i couldn;t able to get 4G connection.

      Dialysis of ring that I could not get a volte service BSNL is not make the complete 4G I think it is not only providing volte service I am just send a message 53733 active volte but it didn't replied that it is BSNL volte service start for Karnataka Gulbarga district

      I am from Kerala living in Kannur ssa Mahe . I had already sent the SMS to activate Volte but SMS was faid i am having BSNL Sim written ‘BSNL-4G’ in its surface. But i couldn;t able to get 4G connection.then how can I activated 4g
