After announcing the revision in download speed and free data usage in existing Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband plans, the state run telecom major – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) – has revised advance higher payment option and duration of service for all DSL and Bharat Fiber (FTTH) broadband plans in selected cities.
As per the latest information, BSNL has also introduced 6 months advance payment option where a customer need to pay for 5.5 months rental to avail service period of 6 months. Similarly, by paying for 10.5 months FMC (fixed monthly rent), a customer may enjoy 12 months (One Year) service. A customer can enjoy two year service period (24 months) by paying for just 20.5 months FMC and three year service (36 months) at just 30.5 months FMC.
Now, the competent authority has decided to offer following ‘advance higher payment option and duration of service’ across all the ‘DSL/Bharat Fiber’ PAN India/Circle Specific Broadband plans (currently available on PAN India or circle specific basis except newly introduced Bharat Fiber plans ‘Fibre Basic’, ‘Fibre Value’, ‘Fibre Premium’ and ‘Fibre Ultra’), on promotional basis for a period of 90 days in selected SSAs/BAs/Cities of all the circles (except Andaman & Nicobar circle).

These revised advance payment scheme shall be effective after 3 days from 13-10-2020, on promotional basis for 90
days in selected SSAs/BAs/Cities* of circles (except Andaman and Nicobar circle). The new higher payment schemes are applicable to all existing DSL/FTTH (Bharat Fiber) Broadband plans except the new promotional FTTH plans announced on 1st October 2020.

I have opted for BSNL’s new Fiber Basic 449 plan with 50Mbps download speed. Can I subscribe to these new higher payment scheme?
No. These revised advance higher payment scheme is applicable to all existing plans (circle specific/PAN India plans) except newly launched promotional plans viz – ‘Fibre Basic 449’, ‘Fibre Value 799’, ‘Fibre Premium 999’ and ‘Fibre Ultra 1499’.
Customers in regular Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plans like – BSNL Bharat Fiber 499 plan (100GB CUL), BSNL Bharat Fiber 777 Plan (500GB CUL), BSNL Bharat Fiber 849 Plan (600GB CUL), BSNL Bharat Fiber 1277 Plan (750GB CUL) etc., can avail these newly launched advance higher payment scheme. However, customers need to be from the selected areas where BSNL already launched promotional FTTH plans.
