Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has declared New Year Eve (31st December 2017) & New Year Day (1st January 2018) as Blackout Days for both Prepaid and Postpaid Mobile Customers. On blackout day, No concessional tariff on Voice Calls / SMS will be available for both prepaid and postpaid mobile customers.
Blackout will be for all Voice / Roam / SMS / ISD STVs, Friends and Family Offer, Free Calls to Pyari Jodi Landline etc. this include Voice STVs 135/149/159 etc. also. It means, a prepaid mobile customer has to top up for main account balance for making voice calls / SMS on these days.
Customers are advised to make use of the existing Full Talk Time / Extra Talk Time Offers on these days. However, BSNL’s Special Combo STVs (Combo STV15, Combo STV77 & Combo STV177) and Unlimited Voice calls with Plan 186 / 446 (Kerala Plan 446) are available on 31st Dec 2017 & 1st Jan 2018(Blackout days) also.

All 2G/3G mobile plans are offered with initial freebies (Plan Voucher Freebies) or monthly freebies on Voice / SMS. These concessional freebies will not be applicable on Black out days and all calls / SMS will be charged as per their base tariff plan.
The reduced tariff on Voice / SMS STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers), discounted calling offers like – ‘Friend & Family’ & ‘Pyari Jodi’ etc. also will be withdrawn, during blackout days. All your voice calls and SMS will be charged according with the parent plan on these Black out days.

jio doent have blackout days.quit bsnl and use jio to avoid these blackout days
BSNL is a government owned company. It goes according to the laws of TRAI while JIO is not.
