Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced waival of installation charges for Bharat Fiber (FTTH), Broadband and Landline customers in Kerala Circle.
As per the latest information, waival of installation charges is available only in BSNL Kerala Telecom Circle for a period upto 31st March 2021. The PSU has launched this special scheme today in an attempt to bring back their customers in inactive status. BSNL fixed line (Bharat Fiber or ADSL Broadband or Landline) customers whose connections were closed upto September 2020 may avail this exciting offer to activate their BSNL Broadband or Landline connection.
An Official statement regarding the launch of this special scheme for Kerala Circle read as follows :-
“The competent authority has allowed to waive of the installation charges in order to bring back landline, broadband and FTTH inactive status connections (disconnected upto Sept-2020) for a period upto 31-03-2021 in Kerala circle with immediate effect.”
Customers can activate their disconnected BSNL fixed line telephone / broadband connection only after clearing outstanding dues if any. The above scheme is applicable with effect from 14th December 2020 onwards in Kerala Telecom Circle Only.

How can I avail Free Installation Charges from BSNL?
BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) or ADSL Broadband or Landline connections which are currently in inactive status can avail this scheme of free installation charges. Customers may visit nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC) and submit application for reconnection to avail this scheme.
May I pay any additional charges to avail BSNL’ Free Installation charges scheme?
Customers need to clear all their outstanding dues before availing this benefit. To know your outstanding dues and to submit application for reconnection under free installation scheme, customers may contact their nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC). After paying pending outstanding dues, BSNL will be issuing orders for reconnection of closed telephone connection under Free Installation Scheme.
Whether I can select newly launched Bharat Fiber Plan Fiber Basic 449 on reconnection?
Yes. Customers may choose newly launched promotional Bharat Fiber plan – Fiber Basic 449 (30Mbps, 3.3TB usage) on reconnection. However, the plan will be migrated to Fiber Basic Plus 599 plan (60Mbps, 3.3TB usage) after six months.
What will be my tariff plan after reconnection?
Whether the above scheme is applicable for New Connections?
No. Waival of installation charges is applicable only to disconnected customers whose connections got disconnected for a period upto September 2020. For new connections, installation charges are applicable as per the above table.
BSNL to Upgrade Download speed & Usage of existing Bharat Fiber connections
As we reported on Friday (11th December 2020),
BSNL has upgraded download speed and pre-FUP usage of existing Bharat Fiber (FTTH) connections all over India. Existing BSNL FTTH customers can avail increased download speed and usage without any additional cost / charges. However, this upgraded speed & data usage will not be applicable to the newly launched plans – Fiber Basic, Fiber Basic Plus, Fiber Value, Fiber Premium & Fiber Ultra.
