BSNL’s newly launched 60Mbps unlimited Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband plan – Fiber Basic Plus ₹599 – listed now in BSNL Selfcare Portal. As we reported on 11th November 2020, BSNL announced the launch of this new unlimited FTTH plan which is available to all new as well as existing customers in all the telecom circles with effect from 14th November 2020.
BSNL 599 FTTH Plan (BSNL Bharat Fiber 599 Plan) is one of the best unlimited Fiber Broadband Plans currently available in India. Customers opting BSNL 599 FTTH plan will get 60Mbps download speed till 3.3TB usage and 2Mbps download speed after 3.3TB. In addition, customers may also get unlimited free voice calls to any network in India which is the unique selling point with respect to BSNL Bharat Fiber Services. To attract new customers to BSNL Bharat Fiber Services, BSNL has also launched an entry level FTTH plan – Fiber Basic ₹449 Plan – with 30Mbps download speed.

No. BSNL Fiber Basic 449 plan is a promotional plan which is available only to new FTTH (Bharat Fiber) customers in all telecom circles. Customers opting this plan will be migrated to Bharat Fiber plus 599 plan after six months. It means, BSNL launched Fiber Basic 449 plan as a Welcome Offer for new FTTH customers on PAN India basis. Earlier, BSNL launched this plan limited to certain cities / regions. But now, BSNL has extended the same plan to all telecom circles in India except Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Whether BSNL Fiber Basic 449 Plan is only for new customers?
Yes. BSNL Fiber Basic 449 plan with 30Mbps download speed and 3.3TB usage is available exclusive to new BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers in all telecom circles. However, this plan is only available for first 6 months and after 6 months plan will be migrated to BSNL Fiber Basic Plus 599 plan having 60Mbps download speed.

What will be the month end bill if I changed plan to 599 from 499 plan,do I need to pay both plans price?
You will be charged Rs 100 as One Time Charge (Plan security deposit which is 100% refundable) + proportionate monthly rental. Eg:- If you have changed your plan from 499 to 599 on 16th November 2020, your monthly rent will be : Rs 249.5 + Rs 299.5 = Rs 549/-. Your Total bill will be calculated as : Rs 549 + GST + KFC + Rs 100 (No GST for Security Deposit)

If I change from ₹777 plan to ₹599 plan Will I have to pay security deposit again? The customer care executive lady said,I will have to pay security deposit again and both the previous and new deposit both will be refunded only after 90 days of disconnection.This is illogical.Please help.
correct, I second it! It is ridiculous, as we have already deposited about Rs.949 and again paying safe deposit..doesn't make sense
You will not be charged any extra deposit, since you already have a deposit of Rs 777 or so.
The existing security deposit would be refunded only on disconnection.

No. You need not pay security deposit while changing from a higher to a lower plan.
But the customer executive was saying that you have to deposit 1 month charge as security fee irrespective of the plans.
