India’s largest fixed-line operator – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) – discontinued BSNL 6 paise cash back offer for its Landline, Broadband & FTTH Customers on PAN India basis.
As per the latest information, the scheme was discontinued with effect from 31st August 2020 onwards for all BSNL Landline, Broadband and Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH) customers in all the telecom circles. It means, BSNL customers may not get their cash back for their Voice calls made after August 2020.
What was BSNL’s 6 paise Cashback Scheme?
BSNL initially launched this promotional scheme from 1st November 2019 when its rival Reliance Jio started to charge its customers for outgoing calls to other networks at the rate of 6 paise / minute. Since this promotional offer got tremendous response from customers, the PSU extended the same for a period up to 31-08-2020.
Under BSNL 6 paise cash back scheme, a BSNL customer can get 6 paise cashback for every voice calls of duration more than 5 minutes from each of his BSNL landline or Broadband or FTTH connection. The scheme was – 6 paise cashback per call with duration 5 minutes and above and it is not 6 paise for every 5 minutes of a single call. All local / STD calls except level 1 calls were also eligible for cashback. Now, BSNL authorities has decided to withdraw this scheme with effect from 31-08-2020 onwards in all telecom circles.
